简介
Brian Bailey spent his formative years playing basketball in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In the interstices of sports, he tickled the ivories of the family upright piano, and began composing solo pieces at the age of five. At age 10, he performed an original song, "Grandpa," at his Grandpa Shanor's funeral. In 1997, after a basketball-induced hiatus from music and a two-year Mormon mission to Porto Alegre, Brazil, Brian recorded "Walk in Williamsburg," an album of 15 original songs. "Walk in Williamsburg" was inspired by a memorable trip to Williamsburg, Virginia, and the two-year sojourn in Brazil. Brian has performed from Brazil to Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, and regularly plays in the lobby of Cheyenne's historic Plains Hotel. In 2002, he wrote and performed music for his graduation from the University of Wyoming College of Law. Currently, Brian plays keyboard for the acoustic rock band, "Highland Elias" (www.highlandelias.com), which recorded its self-titled debut album in Orlando, FL with multi-platinum producer Greg Rike (Backstreet Boys, Deep Purple, Yellowjackets). Highland Elias has played state fairs and small concert venues across the Rocky Mountain region, and recently opened for grammy-winner Christopher Cross at the Cheyenne Civic Center. Brian resides with his wife and children in Cheyenne, where he "daylights" as a high school English teacher.
