Yossi & Yerachmiel is a singer-songwriting duo who draws their roots from musicians such as RShlomo Carlebach, Moshe Yess, and Simon and Garfunkel. These two young guitarists tastefully mix traditional and contemporary Jewish music to create a sweet vocal harmony that is at once captivating and inspiring. Having spent time playing music in both Israel and America they are able to capture the sound of the heart of Jewish music while appealing to the American ear. Yossi and Yerachmiel first met as children in the Tzil VZemer Boys choir at the age of eight years old. They lost contact during their teenage years as each traveled his own journey of self-discovery. At the age of twenty one they reunited as chavrusos in Yeshivah Ohr Sameach. A relationship initiated by Torah study blossomed into one of musical accompaniment as their individual musical talent quickly reunited and merged forming a single melodic soulful sound. They begen performing as a group and after a couple of years spent perfecting this sound, they have created melodies complimented by harmonies that soar with a love for Judaism, Torah, and Eretz Yisroel. Simple, soulful, stirring, soothing always exciting and energetic their original compositions have a way of making immediate contact with a listeners heart.
