Jose's music is undoubtedly influenced by his Ecuadorian roots, but as a worship leader for many years he has longed for more inspired and yet contemporary worship music that's written in his native tongue. As a result of this personal desire and his recognition for that very real need within the Latino Christian community, he began to write original music that was specifically designed to meet that need and desire. The writing process and the relationships that he made through ministry at various churches in Alabama opened the door for him to develop a working and writing relationship with award winning songwriter/producer Boyce Callahan Jr. Together, through revising some of Jose's original compositions and writing some brand new songs, they put together an album that they both believe will not only feature Jose as a songwriter and artist, but truly meet a very legitimate need withing the Spanish speaking community.
