Benzla is an electronic music producer from the UK. From as far back as I can remember I have had a passion for electronic music. From the early days of The Prodigy, Altern 8, Nightcrawlers, Robin S, Felix, Faithless, Ratpack, Roy Davis Jr, Ramsey and Fen, Dem2, B-15 Project, Groove Chronicles, Severn Wonders, Danny J Lewis, Artful Dodger, D.E.A Project, MJ Cole and many many more (Too mnay names to mention). Benzla started out as A Uk Garage DJ back in the late 1990's playing at house partys and clubs in and around Nottingham City. Any money I could get my hands on would get saved and put towards buying new vinyl from shops like Selectadisk and Groove City that was in Nottingham at the time. Over the years I collected a vast amount of vinyl, exclusive white labels and one off presses it was all about the reaction from the crowd when you play that track, words just can't describe the feeling. Benzla would also work alongside DJ Subzie MC'ing on the mic at popular clubs in Nottingham at the time. The names Benzla and Subzie became synonymous with Uk Garage and Drum and Bass around Nottingham at that time. Over the years I stumbled upon many hardships as growing up in the deprived area of St Anns was far from easy. Moving with the wrong crowds of people and in the wrong places at the wrong times I lost my whole collection of vinyl that I had saved for over the years and so was unable to persue my DJ career. Messing about in my bedroom I came across the very first version of Fruityloops and soon started to try and replicate some of the garage sounds I used to love. Within no time I was soon coming with my own bassline wobblers that would impress friends. This was the start of Benzla Productionz. Over the years Benzla has produced many tracks of many genres from Uk Grime to Uk Rap, Bassline, House, Liquid Drum & Bass, Uk Garage, Future beats, Chillstep, Ambient, and experimental. Produced tracks for The Realness Fam, Landlordz, Last Night In Paris (LNIP) Holly Drummond, CoMa and the list just keeps on growing.
