Dan Farrell has been playing in clubs since 1972. He is a multi-instrumentalist and spends most of his day composing music for his own concerts as well as other musicians. "Winter Winds" was arranged by his good friend Shelly Berger. "I gave Shelly an unlimited amount of arranging latitude and he came up with a brilliant Big Band chart. That is Pat LaBarbara taking the Tenor Sax solo who had played with Buddy Rich and Frank Sinatra. My toughest job was picking which one of his solos I would have on the record. They were all so fabulous! All of the musicians were fantastic. I am thrilled with the final recording."
