Paradise is a band based in Darwin, Australia, and is the project of singer/songwriter/producer Keith Scott. The music is easy to listen to, rhythmical, yet melodious, and the lyrics are positive, poetic, and easy to sing. These are songs that will be around forever. The CD took 2 years to complete, and contains 12 original songs that span 3 generations. Keith has been performing for more than 35 years and has shared stages with greats such as Marina Prior, James Blundell, Kate Ceberano, Barry Crocker, Julie Anthony, Barry Humphries, Jessica Mauboy, and twice with Jimmy Barnes. He has performed in more than 10 countries in places like Sydney Opera House, Government House in Canberra, and hundreds of civic theatres, auditoriums, and town halls in many parts of the world. He has also performed before 4 different Australian Prime Ministers, and a president of the United States of America, and has notched up 100's of live and recorded TV performances. In 2007 keith spent 7 months teaching and performing in China. This was an inspirational time and set fire to his creativity. The original material was so well received that on return to Australia all efforts went into production of the new CD. The new CD contained 12 tracks, mostly new, but 1 reworked from a previous album and 2 previously written but until then had not yet been recorded. This was released on the 7th of November 2009 at the "Paradise Project", a CD launch concert at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. Its virtually impossible to tie it to one genre having influences ranging from the commercial rock of the last 4 decades, country, contemporary gospel, and somewhere way back at the beginning of it all was that "Hot August Night" album of Neil Diamond's.
