Ricomiguel is a musical cross-breed, who grew up in his family's church. He began singing with his sister at an early age and soon they were singing at church services and other outings. In the 90's, Ricomiguel began to write songs, directing and sanging with various choirs and groups. With his sisters they have opened for the likes of Kim Burrell, Freda Mitchell, Evangelist Denise Matthews (Formally Vanity) and The Hawkins. Soon he began growing as a solo artist and began writing music of his own. Ricomiguel got the chance of a lifetime when he was invited on stage by the one and only Chaka Khan, to sing with her. The positive reaction and applause of her crowd gave him the confidence to broaden his exposure, and even to this day, Chaka still stands behind his gift and ministry. Ricomiguel has written musicals, stage productions, and has functioned in many other aspects of music, but this is his biggest leap yet. But his desire is for you to experience true "soul music", soul-saving, soul-touching, soul-reaching, soul-restoring, soul- vibing, "Soul Music"! My music is present, yet futuristic. It has a open-airy sound, and it is funk-heavy throughout the album. I sing all vocals and I wrote all lyrics. I am far from what one would consider "Gospel" music; but I know God has those out there that I am to cross paths with, and this work is for them; those destines to look for "Better Days", through what God has given me to share with the world! No matter what, it still is the good news of Jesus Christ,and lest we forget, R&B, Funk, Pop,etc. are birthed from negro spirituals, so I just wanted to bring the music back home.
