Three years have passed since we last enjoyed the music of Gary B. Lovestone. "These past three years have been most tumultuous and introspective for me" Gary was quoted as saying during a blog earlier this year. During this time, the writing process never faltered, never took a day off as this is what Gary has done all his life....write songs. The ideas and melodies flow daily in poetic prose, Gary keeps a notebook or tablet nearby to record the many thoughts and inspirations from the environment around him. Late 2016 Gary spent 2 weeks abroad in Mexico, where as he recalls he just let go, did a complete unwind and recharged his life's force and creative battery. From this very brief but productive sabbatical, a renewed energy or thirst for his love of music was reborn, "After attending Mass at Basilica de Santa Maria de Guadalupe in Mexico City, I was moved beyond words". The weeks that followed sleep didn't come, as Gary stated: "Sleep is sometimes overrated when the inspiration calls". This was the beginning of Faith Foundation. Faith Foundation is a collection of 6 to 8 spiritual compositions Gary wrote that will be delivered in 2 or 3 song CD formats. Gary replied he didn't want to overburden the listener with an 8 to 10 song CD: "I would like for everyone to experience this musical movement in incremental steps for greater understanding and appreciation of faith". Faith Foundation Part One features the songs "Storms" and "Higher" with the message being oh so clear: Although it's stormin' around me, I'm doin' fine. There's a power that guides me, and I know it's love....there's a GOD above. Future releases in the Faith Foundation series are scheduled for 2017 into 2018, and Gary will still be out performing with the band Montage in Wisconsin and the Midwest area. Gary's other musical works in the R&B/Pop and Jazz genres, as he has been described as a musical chameleon, are also scheduled for release as 2017 and beyond looks to be very musical for Mr. Lovestone.
