'When East Meets West' represents the first musical collaboration between British singer-songwriter Jamie Mac and Polish musician Gerard Niemczyk. They began recording together in Gerard's home town of Nowy Sacz, Southern Poland, in the spring of 2008 and, after further trips to Nowy Sacz, the album was eventually finished in January 2011. Whilst Jamie and Gerard speak only a little Polish and English respectively, working together proved to be a meeting of minds and musical interests, the results of which are these ten songs.
