She's somewhere between Corinne Bailey Rae and Amel Larrieux. Her debut album UnFresh is a raw, honest and refreshingly unique collection of music that defines the word atmospheric. The album also features a surprise guest appearance by Californian underground Hip-hop star Blu. Definitely a good addition to you music collection. Why, it’s 21 year old, singer-songwriter from Cameroon West Africa, Andy Allo, that’s who. As written on her official website, she measures 5′7″ tall with Afro - but I’d have to add, that she’s indeed incalculable with talent. Allo has a relatable voice echoing alongside crisp production - my favorite combination. Her comfort in herself shows through in each note. A Janelle Monae from this planet, perhaps?
