To me, music is everything. More than a set of lyrics and a catchy beat, it is a form of expression and most importantly, a way of life. Although I have been singing for as long as I can remember, I only got serious about it when I was around 14 years old. By “serious,” I mean singing in front of people other than my parents, my siblings … or my own reflection in the bathroom mirror. (I swear that place has the best acoustics.) I was a shy gal, but my parents helped nurture my confidence by volunteering me to sing during those oh-so wonderful “talent shows” whenever company was over (you know what I’m talking about … -_-) With time, I discovered a passion for performing, producing, and songwriting. Over the years, I posted covers, sang at local events, and prayed that I would “get discovered.” Eventually, it dawned on me that in order for people to discover me, I had to give them something worth discovering. I took some time off, and focused on what I fell in love with in the first place… the music. Instead of worrying about the destination, I began to embrace the journey. And now, I want to share this journey with you. So. Fasten your seat-belts and hop along for the ride. I promise I’ll play good music ; )
