Once upon a time, a young boy bound by the ever-growing restraint of society, found himself broken and searching for truth. Finding himself alone and unable to live up to those standards set by the world, he found a simple spark; music. From the moment he sat down at the piano, he felt the warmth and inspiration that only ivory keys could bring. For once in his life, he felt solace. This musical gift had broken the chains that kept him tied and allowed him to understand his strange affinity for the melancholy and macabre that had plagued his inner machinations. He voraciously devoured all music he could find, becoming trained in classical and popular music styles. Through the music, he found himself anew and born again. This reincarnation of a once frail individual would come to be known as Caleb de Casper. As this new soul developed, a fascination with glamour enveloped his existence. The darkness that had made him could be made less powerful if it were made beautiful. Beauty can tame the beast. Seeking all that shined, sparkled, and shimmered, his fascination became an obsession. Knowing what it did for his being, he decided to share music with the masses through. With the soul intent of tempting the darkness that hides inside us all, this album is as ferocious as its maker. FANGORIOUS is a testament of Caleb de Casper. It is an introduction of himself to the world with which he promises not to be taken lightly or back down. Through his many grievous and macabre tribulations, Caleb de Casper was broken. He crumbled at the feet of society, and retreated to a dark and emotional cave, where the light of life could never shine. He laid there as the time passed. In agonizing pain he laid there, searching his soul for a path to recovery. Then the music played… FANGORIOUS is this music. It is a mixture of everything that is and has influenced the artist Caleb de Casper. Lyrics of angst on top of dark sounds and demonic hooks sang with a deep and powerful voice contribute to a mellifluous blend of rock and dance music. This album is the first of its kind to sport the genre, “Gothic Dance Pop”. There is an obvious love and appreciation for music throughout the whole work, as nearly each song borrows a style and combines it with some unknown element to create a style of glamorous horror, the style of Caleb de Casper.
