简介

IAN MCLAGAN A member of Small Faces, which became Faces when Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined the band, Ian ‘Mac’ McLagan is a rock’n’roll icon. Mac co-wrote many Faces hits, including “Cindy Incidentally,” “You’re So Rude,” “Borstal Boys” and “Three Button hand Me Down.” His distinctive Wurlitzer electric piano can be heard on the Faces “Stay With Me” and the Rolling Stones’ smash “Miss You.” It was Mac’s trademark B3 you heard on Small Faces’ “Itchycoo Park,” Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May” and “You Wear It Well” among many others. Aside from his brilliant work touring and recording with the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, David Lindley, Paul Westerberg, John Hiatt, Taj Mahal, Billy Bragg and Patty Griffin, Mac has released five critically acclaimed solo albums, highlighting his career as a singer-songwriter and an artist in his own right: Troublemaker, Bump In The Night, Last Chance To Dance, Best Of British & Rise & Shine! Mac’s sixth and finest solo CD, Spiritual Boy - an appreciation of Ronnie Lane, features his fabulous Bump Band: “Scrappy” Jud Newcomb, Don Harvey and Mark Andes, and is a loving tribute to his old friend, and features songs written by one of the best-loved rock’n’rollers of our time. Spiritual Boy was released on April 1, 2006 to celebrate what would have been Ronnie Lane’s 60th birthday. Mac was presented with the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for his outstanding contribution to British music in 1996, and his outrageous autobiography, All The Rage is published by Pan/Macmillan. He produced the Faces four CD boxed set, Five guys walk into a bar... for Rhino Records, and was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame in 2004. He received a rare honor on April 6th, 2006, when it was proclaimed 'Ian 'Mac' McLagan Day' in Austin Texas.
