Growing up in west Texas I was exposed to great country music... and then Southern Rock made the scene. I was influenced by the likes of Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Lynyrd Skynard, and of course the Allman Brothers. When I started writing songs I inadvertently fused both genres and added some blues and developed my own style. My songs were written from my experiences in life, love, God and family. The heartache of breaking up with girlfriends, losing loved ones and questioning God's will sinks really deep in the soul when experiencing it. Then there are the good times that should last forever but become elusive in such a short time. All those feelings become a powder keg of emotions that I had to put into words...then into song. I wanted to share a little bit of myself with those who listen to my music.
