What better launching point for a band than to have Conrad Bigknife on lead vocals? This brand new alternative country band, billy grind, is more than excited to be on the scene. Their dedication to real music, real lyrics and hard work is easy to see and hear. With Conrad’s brother Buck on drums and Bree Haider on bass, the rhythm section is strong and lays down that foundation. Brett Johnstone on lead guitar seamlessly works magic into any song. The band’s heart is unmistakeable, and the footprint they are capable of leaving is undeniable.

The single "I Don't Mind" is about being who you're going be, which is the whole vibe of this project. In fact, the band's name comes from misheard lyrics in this song, where during rehearsal one of the players thought the line "daily grind" was "billy grind". An easy but lucky mistake to make, because suddenly the question of the band name was answered, and the feel of the band was established. They take music seriously without losing the sense of who they are where they came from. This is a group of multi-talented people who share a common goal. That goal is to show some of the power, beauty and intrigue music can have.
