KEITH SATTERFIELD, Bassist, Writer, Arranger, Producer.. Keith Satterfield Is Literally cut from music royalty.. The eldest son of the famed Bassist and Trombone man LOUIS SATTERFIELD.. Keith, also Know these day as Satt was taught music under the tutelage of his farther.. In the early years while growing up In Chicago, Satt would go to Chess Records and watch legendary session's, artist such as Muddy waters, The Four Tops, Howlin Wolf, Willie Dixon, KoKo Taylor Etc... Super Producer Charles Stepney was the Producer on most of those sessions who utilized a core group of talent, LOUIS SATTERFIELD bassman and MAURICE WHITE drums were two of the most consistent musicians of these sessions... In K Satt's early teens he watched up close the emergence of super group EARTH WIND & FIRE with whom his farther was a part of having shifted to trombone forming the PHOENIX HORNS that went on to play with PHILL COLLINS The JACKSONS, GENESIS, just to name a few....With this as his musical back drop K Satt continued to develop as a musician and started his own band...Satt toured the country honing his skills while at the same time started putting an ear towards Composition.. K Satts farther/hero/mentor passed away September 2004 which signaled a passing of the Torch..After years of woodshedding, gigging and developing his production skills, K Satt got the idea to put together a Contemporary Jazz Project with the help of some of Los Angeles top musician friends..
