A song tells you how to write it and what it should sound like. My music leans toward traditional country, but some songs want to be zydeco (Leona) and others want to go someplace harder to define. I'm a generation away from West Texas, but I know that trucks, boots, dirt roads and beer are just window dressing for a country song. The heart of country is toughness in the face of a hard world, an open heart in the face of closed minds, and honesty in the face of hypocrisy. That plus a good melody and lyrics that rhyme is what I've aimed for. I hope you like the songs.
