A country artist from Virginia, Morgan Lynsey writes and records out of Los Angeles and frequents Nashville to collaborate and perform. Her music is gaining momentum in LA, winning hearts with her magnetic charisma, catchy lyrics and pure toned vocals. Her style has a fun hippie vibe, telling nomadic stories of adventures on the road. Morgan has a relaxed, "care-free" sound similar to Little Big Town, and the vocal chops of Carrie Underwood. “Small town girl hits the road” "I've always been a nomad at heart. My mom used to say to me “travel light my dear”. She knew my gypsy spirit and passion for travel." At age 18, Morgan moved to New York City to study acting. While living in the city, she caught the travel bug, and took the little money she had saved from waitressing and ventured off to Europe. This "independence trip" was just what her wild heart needed. She spent time in Ireland, England, and Spain. When she returned, her next journey was decided...3,000 miles to Los Angeles, California. Without even a visit, she packed a suitcase and made the move! "There's something so freeing about being on the road. I get a lot of inspiration for my music from my experiences traveling. You're able to put things in perspective and focus on what's important in life." Morgan's focus in LA quickly shifted from acting to music. She's been songwriting since age 9. "For me, it was a way to cope with my emotions. I had a pretty rocky childhood, so songwriting and singing was my outlet." Country music always held her heart, even while living in LA where there's not much of a country scene. After exploring different genres, Morgan found that country is where she belongs. "The more I trust myself and be true to who I am, the happier I become." ​ Through music, she hopes to connect with like-minded people who share her idea of success. To Morgan, success is living in the moment and cherishing each day like it's your last..(because it could be!) It's about doing what makes you happy. Living fearlessly and unapologetically happy! "I think there's a new generation of people who care less about stability and security, and more about following their passions. The "wanderlust" idea that life is too short not to spend time exploring the earth and doing what you love. I'm really inspired by the whole "tiny home", camper-van living. At the end of the day..stuff is just stuff, but experiences are real." Morgan's new single, 'Gypsy Hearts', is all about that message.
