Alison’s recording debut was the song “Jesus Little Lamb,” which she cooed out uncannily on pitch in a voice only two years old. Twenty years later that voice has matured into a fitting vehicle for the heavenly messages carried in her songs. As young as seventeen Alison was singing classical arias with a full orchestra and choir. A year later she started studying voice at Andrews University. There she began focusing more seriously on performing. She led praise and worship, soloed with various choirs on and off campus, and even started performing her own compositions. Her freshmen year she taught herself how to play guitar, which opened up a whole new musical world. From there she became more proficient at songwriting. The musical floodgates had been opened and she was ready to share her musical message. Alison then began touring during her summer breaks to raise money to record her first album. Finally in the spring of 2009, with the help of producer Roni Szpakowski, that became a reality. More important and essential than her talent is Alison’s commitment to the gospel. Her personal life authenticates her message, which is none other than the message of Jesus. Through the witness of this young troubadour, hearts will be moved to accept that gift.
