Premonitions Riddim is the second riddim album played live by the Friendly Fire Band, and featuring various artists from the UK, Jamaica, and Italy. On top of the usual lineup, special guests Brian Travers (UB40) and Nathan Jervis appear on horns. Murray Man kicks off the series with a tune about making a living through troubled times, Make Contacts. Italy's own rising star Raphael signs the apocalyptic TOTAL DESTRUCTION in his characteristic Marley-esque style. Pablo Rider (the fastest toungue in the west midlands) and original Mr Charmer Peter Spence unite for a re-cut of Man Eater. Tomlin Mystic brings the dread back with a foundation style on Buffalo Soldier. For the first time with Friendly Fire, the great Chillavert comes with a modern sing-jay style to tell the people to keep the faith. Next up, Ras Tweed and Peppery bring the girls back in with an ode to Woman, Queen Rasta, while one of Birmingham's most productive artists BIngiman murders the riddim with Letter To The World. The Michael Rose style of Collie W**d blesses the riddim with a love song "Make Up Your Mind". City Kulture once again passionately sings of unity amongst races and colours, and finally Bonito Star rises above the bad vibes and negative feelings. Friendly Fire's Mikey Melody fronts the Melodica version of Premonitions in a mystical dubbed out way, and finally the riddim track to close the opus. Some of the tracks are also available on vinyl.
