Shrines is an Orlando based Neofolk/Indie band comprised of seasoned musicians who met in 2011 while working with another award winning folk band from the area. After recording an album and touring the Southeast extensively, the members of Shrines decided to downsize from a five piece arrangement into a more intimate trio with aspirations of exploring new musical territories. After the project developed, the group decided to rent a house together and dedicate more creative energy to writing and recording.

The Shrines EP is the first chapter of the Shrines story. Marking the first few months of the band’s progress, the album combines the hard hitting rhythm section of brothers Jeremy and Justin Martin laid thoughtfully under Kyle Clark’s expressive guitar playing and poetic narrative. With introspective content touching on themes like anti-materialism and metaphysics, Shrines provides an unadulterated perspective on the human condition.
