简介
The "Dixon Brothers" consist of Christian, 16, Cameron, 15, Cai, 11 and Courtland 9. It was discovered at an early age that the eldest of the boys had a talent for singing when, while visiting his preschool, his mom was stopped by the school principal and asked to stand outside of the santuary and listen while the children practiced for their upcoming graduation ceremony. It was there that she heard, for the first time, 5 year-old Christian bellowing out the words to "Go Tell It On the Mountain" as the principal told of all of the teachers' astonishment at learning of little Christian's big voice. She recalls, "it brought tears to my eyes because he sounded great and I had no idea he could sing like that." As the family grew, Rodney and Christal discovered that the singing gene was shared amongst all of the boys. When the family joined their current church, the boys began singing in the children's choir and eventually on the Youth Praise Team. During one of the rehearsals, the director challenged each member to write an original song. Christian wrote a song called, "Give Him Praise". He picked out the chords on the piano and taught his brothers to sing it. One Sunday after church, their mom was sitting in the sanctuary waiting for her husband when someone announced that the church talent show auditions were about to begin. She ran out of the sanctuary to ask her husband what he thought about having the boys try out - although they had never sang together as a group, or in public, before. He said to go for it, so she rounded up the boys and MADE them audition after a 2 minute rehearsal in the hallway, singing the only song they ever sang together - "Give Him Praise". Their performance at the talent show was very well-received. This lead to singing invitations from various other churches and venues accross the region. The brothers have been in the presence and shared the stage with many other national recording artist while also gaining high acclaim and respect from their peers in the industry. The brothers have also performed the National Anthem at Cary Invasion Basketball games and Durham Bulls baseball games. The Dixon Brothers have attended and performed at Pastor John P. Kees' VIP conference, Pastor Shirley Caesars 41st Outreach Ministries Conference, Lamb Food Ministries Benefit Concert and the Hope For Haiti Benefit Concert sponsored by Radio One. The Dixon Brothers are currently in the studio working on future music releases as well as gearing up for new careers in all new media entertainment.
