Effi's EP, Something More, is a creative body of songwriting work in which her ultra melodic and expressive voice rides smoothly over a blend of electric guitars varying from the soft and melodic to the heavy and hard-edged. “Calling Your Name” weaves instrumental and vocal melodies into a flowing movement over a steady upbeat groove. “Ikaros” pays homage to her roots – the song flows easily in and out of odd time signatures that are used in Greek music, with bouzouki flowing throughout, while her apparent grounding in rock guitar drives the song into a strong, dynamic statement of who she is.

This piece of work gives you a picture of an artist who has ultimate respect for the multicultural music she grew up with, and fearlessly explores and contributes to it with thoughtfulness and skill.
