After the AMVETS meeting, the fire roaring and several pints consumed, the boys from local Post #333 were enjoying music from one of the local pub singers, when the idea was put on the table, "Do you think we could do a CD to raise funds for the Vets?" Now, we all know that live CDs can pose certain production problems. But we also agreed that a certain personal warmth might be achieved from a live recording in a rustic setting amongst close friends. The calls were made and all of the local musicians were soon on board. The date was set, and the players all arrived for a extended recording session. There were no backup bands, just a bunch of local musicians and friends that passed a guitar around. The session lasted for twelve hours.... It was a magical day that I shall never forget. A day for one purpose and one purpose only: To support our Troops and our Veterans. Politics aside, political beliefs shelved, this group of friends played their hearts out for our Bravest and our Best. God Bless Our Troops, Our Veterans, and God Bless America.
