简介

Backyard is a unique group featuring dualing veteran guitar slingers, tight rhythms, unique melodies and superb vocals. The original music is a mix of rock and blues, with just a twist of country blended in. This blend of styles gives the band a distinction and a signature sound of its own, and one that you will remember. Featuring: Hanan Hall - Lead Vocals Music & Art, Art and Music. Hanan knew she would be a professional musician & jewelry artist when she grew up, feeling like she was an "old soul", they were her passions since she was 5 years old. Buying every record & bead she could with her allowance, her taste ran from Brazilian Jazz to Rock to Country & Blues. In love with every sound she heard, she remembers trying to emulate Jim Morrison's voice in her garage on a mock-up stage at the age of seven, until someone pointed out that even though she could hit those rich, ultra-low notes ..."C'mon baby light my fire"….she's still a girl. Eddie Matthews - Lead Guitar From the tender age of ten years old, Eddie Matthews knew that music would be a part of his life. Even if it was only just jamming with the family at the annual Christmas gathering. Following along with his Uncle Ray (who inspired the song of the same name) and his "cuz" Ken, playing old 1950's & 60's standards, little Ed caught on quickly and immediately impressed the other members of his musical family. "Did you bring your guitar?" was the question most asked of him at family gatherings. For several years he kicked around the windy city, playing in venues such as The Thirsty Whale, Brat Stop, Rusty Nail, Edgewater, Fat Rat's Tap and many, many others. Art Miller - Bass Guitar Art was born in Escanaba, Michigan in the Great White North. He was exposed to music at a very young age, as both sides of his family had musicians and singers. The first time he heard his uncles and aunts playing guitar together, he was hooked. Growing up in the country, his music influences included Hank Williams, Sr., Little Jimmy Rogers, and various other country artists. Frank Sanzi - Drums When Frank was just a small child, he seemed to have a love for music. He would always be dancing or tapping on something. He seemed to be mesmerized at the family gatherings when his father, uncle and grandfather would start playing and singing. Frank always wanted to be a part of the music. Grandpa would play the mandolin, Uncle Nunzio would switch off playing the accordion and guitar with Frank’s dad, Angelo, and everybody would sing. Frank would tap his feet to the music, and his family would tease him of becoming a tap-dancer someday, much like his older cousin, Jonny Polito form Pittsburgh. His Uncle Nunzio gave him a trumpet at the age of 7, to encourage Frank to play an instrument. He only used it to tap on the horn end to fill in for a cymbal sound. After seeing a Beatles cartoon and using a little imagination, he found various items with different sounds to complete his make shift drums (Frank also has fond memories of blowing popcorn out of the trumpet, although he’s sure his uncle wasn’t hip on the new permanent sound this horn now created).
