The first track on this fine Movements E.P is the over the top Overture, a cacophony of sound and beats... Ross Walker, better known as r.a.w and the everpresent Broken ( Matt Sargeant ) deliver a splendid concoction of sounds and rhythms which literally do ..Move you. Ross is a young aspiring producer from the North-West of England, from a dj background he is learing the ropes in the studio with Matt and is showing good skills and an imaginative mind, which clearly fit the No Dough criteria. Beginning steadily with punchy beats and catchy percussion, overture soon digs deep into the groove. A breakdown of formidable epic tones, sweeps and choir like backing vocals up the track a notch and build gradually for the perfect drop,,, and then it all happens again. Charted already by Luke Dzierzek. Back to Berlin is the second track on the E.P which comes courtesy of Broken & Dan Doran. These two guys really do know what they want out of music and machines. Their debut track together climbed the Beatport minimal charts and ended up a cool 8th, just behind Dubfire's massive emissions release on Minus. Back once again and in keeping with their unique percussive style , Berlin displays a more upfront tech house vibe with a killer lead riff and strings at the breakdown. The melody then chugs its way through the bassline leaving you in sheer anticipation for the next notation change. We recommend that you keep your eyes peeled for these two in the not too distant future.
