简介
EJM's musical influences are wildly varied - from the Beatles to Louis Jordan, from Elton John to David Lindley. Probably his most influential record is the Beatles' White Album and this is apparent by the divergent styles that have appeared on each of his CDs. Small Fry, EJM's sixth release, is no exception. Acoustic ballads nestle with gospel, flat out rockers bump and grind with 70s funk, hootenannies give way to soft swing all infused with clever, ironic lyrics. Any one of EJM's records could have been entitled "Something for Everyone." (But none has...not yet anyway.) Small Fry contains the indie hits Monster Funk and Bovine Podiatrist. EJM was a winner in the prestigious Billboard Songwriter's Award contest two years in a row. His collaboration with Timothy J. Anderson resulted in the jumpin' jive wailer, Cathouse Jamboree featured not only on Anderson/EJM's Canon, but also WNTI's Unsigned Artists CD.
