Daughter of a professional jazz pianist, Jenny Katz has played piano, guitar, bass, drums, flute, and tenor saxophone over the years. Her music has been nominated for awards and won songwriting competitions. She and her father, Michael Katz, have also released the music education program Freescaling, which helps beginning pianists learn to play by ear, to improvise, and to put music theory in action — in other words, to really make music, not just "play it right." A professional writer, Jenny has honed the skill of wordsmithing for the last two decades. She released her first album, Galaxies, in 2012 after a successful Kickstarter campaign. She is currently the guitarist for The Love, a Northampton, MA-based pop trio, and is working on a jazz album with her father.
