简介
Jackie Guy, five-time Saskatchewan Country Music Association award nominee, has been performing and writing country music since her teens. Away from the stage for a time to raise seven children, she never stopped writing, and since 2011 has been recording and gigging to support her albums Right Where I Wanna Be and My Red Guitar. Career highlights include: sold-out performances throughout Saskatchewan casinos, a Master of Ceremonies gig for Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis' Grits ’n' Glamour tour, appearing as the supporting act for Sawyer Brown, and teaming up with Nashville producer Dean Miller to re-record and film a music video for “Bridges”. In 2016, Jason Blume’s Masters Songwriting Class reconnected Jackie with her first love: songwriting. With new material in the works for an upcoming EP, Jackie looks forward to recording a collaborative effort with Mosaic Music’s Rich McFarlane and Nashville-based producer Larry Beaird. “Damned If I Do”, her first single off this yet untitled EP, was released to radio on May 8. Guy debuted more of her new material at shows this summer at Rock Creek, Country at the Creek in Big River, and her annual Provincial Park Tour. She continues to write and record and plans to release the new EP in early 2018.
