简介
"Hold on Til' you drop" had two breakout sinlges. "Postcard to Myself" and "Kid in a Region". The band had just come off of a 6 month tour (Supporting acts like Joe Satriani, Sheryl Crow, Jimmie Vaughan and others) and decided to go straight into the studio to record. With the help of Jeff Moleski (Smashing Pumpkins, Hole) at the board, the band cut over 30 songs and took the best for the CD. The album is pure Rock and roll! If you like your Guitars loud and your songs meaningful then you will dig this disc. ROLLOVER was the first Band from Chicago ever to be signed by the legendary Bill Graham Managment (Santana, Lynyrd Skynyrd The Neville Brothers, Joe Satriani etc..) . Their independently released debut CD "ROLLOVER" sold over 50 thousand copies. They are a band with a classic roots rock sound influenced by late 60's and 70's rock. After releasing their CD, the band released two singles, "Shipwreck" and "Burning Time," which began getting major airplay on Chicago's WXRT FM Radio. With the help of a radio hit and their strong live shows, they attracted the attention of the ledgendary Bill Graham Managment, who immediatly signed the band. With Graham's help they went on tour to support their debut CD. With their popularity secured in Chicago, ROLLOVER hit the road opening for and touring with some of Rock's biggest acts like The Allman Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Blues Traveler, The 1994 H.O.R.D.E. Tour, John Hiatt, Jimmie Vaughan, Hot Tuna, The Neville Brothers, Cheap Trick, Buddy Guy, Eddie Money, Robin Trower, Johnny Winter and many others. In 1994 ROLLOVER's song "Shipwreck" was featured on A&M Records "H.o.r.d.e CD Sampler". The Band soon became very busy. They were constantly on the road, sometimes spending months on end touring and doing showcases from L.A. to New York and back again. The band also did several tours between 1994 and 1999 supporting Grammy award winning Guitarist Joe Satriani, including a tour of the U.S. and the U.K. The band played all over the U.K. with Joe and even played at Wembley Arena near London. ROLLOVER also opened for Joe at the Famous Fillmore in San Francisco for two sold out nights! On the U.K tour and at the Fillmore Joe, started to invite members from ROLLOVER to "sit in" on his encores. There is a "official Fillmore poster" pictured on this site from those two great Shows! Over the years ROLLOVER has released 3 CD's. "ROLLOVER" (1993) "Hold on Til' you Drop" (1997) and "No Place like home" (2003). ROLLOVER's songs have been used for TV shows (Nash Bridges, Spelling Productions etc...) and Movies (Lost and Confused) For the last 15 years Louie Zagoras (ROLLOVER's main singer -songwriter) has been writing songs with Roy Marinell. Roy Co- wrote Werewolves of London, Excitable Boy, Things to do in Denver when you're Dead and other hits with the late Great Warren Zevon.
