简介

A.D.D. is comprised of Allen Kave, guitar, Denny Reed, keyboards, Doug Spickler, drums, with special guest Evan Lee on bass. These core musicians were the foundation for several bands during the 80's and 90's. They reformed to compose and play original instrumental jazz/blues/rock. Allen Kave has worked with John Palumbo of Crack The Sky fame, released a CD under the name Shield, a blues CD under the name Blue Streak and had a cut on the R&B artist Elvin Spencer's CD titled "Pickin Up The Pieces". Denny Reed and Doug Spickler have similar backgrounds having come out of several horn bands in the Hagerstown, MD area. Evan Lee has been a long time friend with experience mainly in the recording studio. The influences for the group include Steely Dan, Robben Ford, Kansas, Allman Brothers, Pat Metheny, and Santana. Although the recording is a studio recording, the songs are composed on the spot and played in one take. Due to the extensive live experience of the band, it is their preferred method of recording. REVIEW: 20th Century Guitar Magazine January 2007 A.D.D. Thursday Night Laundry Club Guitarist Allen Kave picks up some good support from a number of players on the 2006 CD from his group, A.D.D. Coming in under the banner of instrumental jazz/blues/rock, Thursday Night Laundry Club also has a jam band flair to it and Kave's sonic lead work will appeal to fans of Duane Allman and Jerry Garcia's electric lead work in the Dead. Some may confuse the name of A.D.D. with another group, Attention Deficit Disorder, but it's actually an acronym for the member's first names, Allen Kave, Denny Reed(keyboards) and Doug Spickler(drums). Other A.D.D. influences on Thursday Night Laundry Club include Steely Dan and Robben Ford while the improvisational, live in the studio sound sets up a solid jazz-rock tone.
