简介
Singer, Sean Robinson isn't new to the game. He and his alter ego, S. Rob have been around for quite awhile. He has an impressive resume when it comes to music. He started writing and recording songs of his own in grade school. It wasn't until he met Def Jam executive Rodney Shealey that he started putting his talents to use. He started working with Full Force. They where composing songs for a developmental deal with Virgin Records. At the same time, R&B legend, Leotis, was also looking to sign him to a deal and his management team was in talks with Dino Delvalle (Hot Boyz fame). For a minute things looked very promising, that's until he was sidelined with stage 4 kidney failure. It took him a minute to get himsel together, but when he returned he stayed underground. He recorded a few songs that went on a few Tapemaster mixtapes, recorded a Morning Show theme for MissJones and then finally a mixtape of his own. Included on his first mixtape, "Just Me and the Music", were two songs that received an impressive amount of AirPlay. "Take It There" featuring Styles P and "I'm Afraid (of Love)", which was released overseas in London and received heavy AirPlay from Lenny Green on the Quiet Storm. He's realized two other mixtapes since, "Break-Up Muzik" and "Diggin' N'da Crates, Vol. 1". The latter CD has him rocking over old school hip hop beats ala Mary J. "There's a generation of adults that miss that boom bap under their R&B. That's who I'm looking to appeal to," says Sean. "All Adult Contemporary music don't have to be slow jams. We like to two step as well. I'm here for them."
