Artist Bio: G.U.D. Haywood Clark Jr. otherwise known as G.U.D. (God's Unique Design) was born in Washington DC and raised in Maryland. His stage name represents: a living vessel delivering God's word in the unique way He gives it to him through music. What makes G.U.D. stand out from the rest is his delivery of expression from the music he creates. G.U.D has always enjoyed singing. During his time in the U.S. Army, he also discovered his hidden gift of rapping and song writing when he met his roommate, Anthony Baker (Bigbake) and Alexander Smith III (Smoke Digga). From that point on, his gifts began to grow and evolve into something special. G.U.D. is a fan of all kinds of music. He listens to Hip-Hop, R&B, Gospel, Reggae, Country and many other genres. Old School music artists such as Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Bobby Womack, David Ruffin are his favorite. The two artists that he looks up to in the industry are Brian McKnight and Tank. His music is all about sending messages. As G.U.D continues to grow closer with God, the content of his messages in his music will grow. As long as people are gaining understanding his music, that's what matters. His goals for being in the music industry is to enjoy making music, to venture as far as he can while still maintaining his spiritual character, as well as gaining knowledge and wisdom. G.U.D. believes that the music industry should slow down on trying to find the next meal ticket, and re-focus on artists that want to put out good musical content. G.U.D.'s favorite quote is, "As long as you're breathing, you can make a change."
