The Magnum Opus means "The Great Work" it was made with the intention that whoever so listened to it would feel the presence of a well thought out musical composition. The Magnum Opus in olden times referred to those who were alchemists, pretty much making something out of nothing. Lead into Gold. Wine into Water. This album exemplifies that to me. I was intentionally making something out of nothing. I made noise that made sense. Before I started making noise their was silence. This noise comes back to our brains as a song. All the instruments I played organically. nothing was digitized or altered. I recorded this album on an 8 track music recorder. The most effects I can use are reverb and pan. So this album is meant to stimulate the sense of hearing. Its meant to soothe the mind of its worries. Every track was a different day and a new me. None of these tracks were made consecutively one after the other. But they do tell a concise story. One that is worth listening to.
