简介
Stewart Legere emerges from the ocean on his debut album "Quiet The Station" drenched, wearied and seemingly unable to utter an insincere word. A sprawling, lyrical, fourteen song chronicle of crystal clear aching, these songs float easily in the delta of folk, pop, confession and soul. Like the craggy landscape where they were born, vulnerable confessions are carried along on strong winds, taking welcome and satisfying sojourns from tenderness to tempest. Achingly simple, fingerpicked guitar ballads decay out onto the horizon. Dissonant piano ballads tumble into ecstatic repeated countermelodies. Co-produced by Jason Michael MacIsaac (The Heavy Blinkers), the production is deceptively simple and strong; darting almost imperceptibly between polished naturalism and tasteful studio wizardry. Lovingly composed, with vivid storytelling and luscious harmonies, darkened with such sincere delivery and frank lyrics you'll long to reach out and make it alright. Honest, charming and open-hearted, Legere has crafted an honest portrait of himself as a troubadour of sorts: an empathetic observer and poet searching for the good light in himself, the good light between people.
