简介

"Magic in the Air" is the title of Alessandro Bagagli's new work and a brand new single, "So in Love" will be available on ITunes, Amazon, Google Play and more on May 16, a few weeks before the album itself, coming out on May 30. The single was originally written thinking of Rod Stewart as the artist who could have perform it but, as Alex joking says "I ain't got Rod's phone number so I decided to sing it myself". "So in Love", a rhythmic and melodic soul/pop song capable to enhance Alex's vocal qualities, will be released in two versions: an extended version for fans and a radio mix edition, available May 15 in pre-sale, to increase the chances of radio broadcastings and listening. The album contains 15 funky, rock sparkling songs about a main theme which guides the whole record, the magic of life and the courage of sharing love: a positive message to listeners after the crisis described in Alex's last work, "Under the Gun", a hard rock project inspired by Seventies' bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. "I love many genres of music and I can't cathegorize my works in just one style. I'm influenced by The Rolling Stones and Latin or Disco music as well". “Magic in the Air is the mix of many musical suggestions and I hope" - Alex says - "that listeners let themselves to be carried away by the rhythm of the record". The title track will take you away in a rhythmic world of funky guitars 70’s style mixed with country riffs, congas and percussion pushing you out on a dance floor. “You & I”, “Living my way”, “Don’t be afraid” and “From the Cradle to the Grave” are too powerful rhythmical tracks with Beatles style choirs taking you into a lysergic dream of late 60s. “Let it Shine” and “Share your Love” seem to get out from the cylinder of Doobie Brothers’ “Toulouse Street” while “I could be dreaming” and the single “So in Love” take you back to soul music. “Shine a light on the City” has got a Latin taste that reminds the first Carlos Santana. “Break Away” sitar intro and song melody comes out straight from the Summer of Love. “desperate women” has a fresh funky rock mood which contributes to the overall record appeal and “Your Crazy Things” drum rhythm and horns riffs get the rest. "I'm a rock survivor who wants to believe, together with the others like me, in a dream of human possibilities, though sometimes we keep on feeling the anger of this struggle for life and love. I guess that everybody needs a light shining on this crazy world". The album is entirely written, performed, arranged and produced by the artist himself.
