Katie Heckel first visited Ghana Africa two years ago and fell in love with the people there, especially those children orphaned by disease and trapped in poverty. She promised to support Rafiki, a local orphanage that, though equipped with a wonderful facility able to house 50 children at a time, found itself with only funding enough to open its doors to barely 15 kids.

All the proceeds from the album go directly to Rafiki orphanage in Ghana. Katie has maintained a relationship with Rafiki and will be returning there with a team of college students in May of 2010.
