NEW FUTURES is the new album from trumpeter/composer Malcolm Aiken on TrebleFive Records

Dubbed out jazz with down tempo grooves, ambient textures and vintage synths set the mood for his dark velvet trumpet tone. A synergy that recalls the sounds of Bob James & electric Miles, with modern beats inspired by J Dilla, Flying Lotus and Robert Glasper. Recorded at the Space Studio in Vancouver, Canada and mixed by Daniel Klenner (Hey Ocean, We Are The City, Star Captains). With Max Zipursky (keyboards), JC Thompson (bass + programming) and Tim Proznick (drums).
