Emily Afton (formerly known as ‘Emily Moldy’) is an award-winning singer-songwriter who hails from Oakland, California. With a sound that has been described as “a cinematic trip through the indie-pop aesthetic... tied together with ribbons of R&B and soul," Emily's constant evolution as a solo performer, bandleader, and record producer is an ever-transformative process, one that changes with the unsuspecting tides of time, place, and experience. Her songs are as deeply emotive as they are honest, with a voice as hopeful as it is nostalgic. Emily has spent the whole of 2014 writing and recording her first full-length album alongside acclaimed Bay Area producers David Earl and Lila Rose. This episodic album laces together Emily’s five-year conversation with the ghosts of love, life, and death, each song traipsing a line along the unexpected movements we can, and will, make within our lives.
