简介
INVICTUS VOLUNTAS is the follow-up to the independently produced 2014 album, "Afraid of What's to Come". Fans of Alt-Metal bands such as, Staind, Alice In Chains, Breaking Benjamin, Sevendust, RED, Chevelle, and Three Days Grace, will find themselves right at home in the dark and cathartic tunes of First Fracture. On display, in full force, the Louisiana, hard rock outfit, continue to choose detours over the well worn path of their musicical mentors but maintain the ground work laid by them. A new direction definitely appears early on, including a few twists and turns not commonly associated with the genre. One of them is a much welcomed guest vocal by 12 Stones frontman, Paul McCoy, on the blistering track, "Down To This". The album rages on with the political anthem, "Uprise", which brings to memory the attitude and gravitas of Rise Against, with its punk inspired sound. The band then switches gears with the acoustic driven power ballad, "All Good Things". While taking the EP back its hard rock core, with "Gravestone", an experimental epic, the band brings INVICTUS VOLUNTAS to a finale with a dropped tuned and electronic fused cover of Tove Lo's hit single, "Habits (Stay High)". While only clocking in at a little over twenty-two minutes, First Fracture, attempts to cover all bases, with the short amount of time, expanding on the sound that was brought to fruition on the prior disk. Short but sweet, INVICTUS VOLUNTAS is all about quality over quantity.
