Starting out in 2008, Irish Hip Hop artist Damola got involved in music through the avenue of rap and has since then added a lot more to his craft as he now owns a recording studio, engineers all his songs and produces every now and then. The content of his music is typically based on personal experiences but sometimes gives the listener an insight into his imagination. He is sonically eclectic merging various sounds, genres, instruments, cadences and vocal tones together, while keeping the melodies and harmonies on point at all times. The young lyricist has a series of music videos to be released throughout the year and is also working on a new EP alongside his live band and various hip hop producers in Ireland and abroad. The EP will be released in the last quarter of 2017 and Damola hopes to get it featured on huge platforms as he has done in the past with the likes of Nialler9, Irish Times, State magazine, GoldenPlec, District Magazine, The last Mixed Tape, Thin Air magazine and Independent.ie. A member of the Dublin based hip hop collective called BackShed inc, Damola frequently collaborates with other members of BackShed inc like Sam Ojo, Ange MC and Ama and hopes to be able to spread a message of perseverance, love and hope across the world through the medium of music.
