简介
Originally released in 2003. The first in a series of 19 newly-remastered re-releases, for the first time in digital format. Space Recordings was a highly respected d'n'b label in the period 2002-2009. Jasper Byrne, aka Sonic, had had a string of vinyl releases on d'n'b scene heavyweight labels such as Metalheadz, Virus Records, Reinforced and V Recordings, and was in a good position to start releasing his music directly. And so Space Recordings was born, to a great reception, getting a lot of play from leading DJ's of the time. Jasper went on to singlehandedly release an award-winning videogame called 'Lone Survivor' in 2012, which has sold more than a million copies, the self-penned soundtrack of which was hugely successful, and lead to Jasper doing work on the indie game smash hit, 'Hotline Miami', and its sequel. The soundtracks from these games have literally gone on to get millions of hits on sites like soundcloud. The vinyl was originally distributed by S.T. Holdings, who sadly folded a couple of years ago, and so, in the interest of preserving the work, Space Recordings d'n'b catalogue is going digital for the first time. Jasper is currently working on new Sonic material, as well as collaborations with Silver from North Base, as well as a solo album under his own name, due to come out this summer, which has been in the works for three years. He also plans to release his soundtrack works to a wider digital network through collaboration with Label Worx.
