简介
Dannie Marie is a Cali girl with a country soul. Influenced by artists and bands such as Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, and Taylor Swift, Dannie Marie’s single Countin’ Down Summertime can be described as “bro country with a dose of estrogen.” It’s a fun summer anthem about tailgate parties, dirt road dance floors, and summer love – from a female perspective. The first single and title track of her forthcoming CD, Anything I Wanna Be, was released to country radio in May 2015. The pop country singer-songwriter logged more than 6,000 miles doing conference room shows and interviews at 30 country radio stations in seven states to promote her debut single -- setting up her own tours as an indie artist. She added another dozen stations on a spring 2016 tour to promote the follow-up single, Countin’ Down Summertime, which hits country radio June 2016. The album will be released later in 2016. It includes nine original tracks written by Dannie Marie and recorded in Nashville with a full band at The 515 Studio. Dannie Marie’s younger brother Nick became part of the acoustic act in 2015. He backs her on guitar or banjo on the radio tours and live shows, including their April 2016 gig at Country Thunder Arizona with headliners Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, and Eric Church. Dannie Marie won the local round of the 34th annual Country Showdown in March 2015 at the Colorado River Fair in Blythe, CA when the acoustic duo performed their original song, Countin’ Down Summertime. In 2013, Dannie moved from San Diego to LA, where she appeared in music videos, commercials, TV shows and several movies. You may recognize her as the blonde backup singer in Itch’s official music video for “Another Man,” a song that went platinum in Australia. She moved back to her hometown in the fall of 2014 to play at local venues and prepare for the release of her music and radio promo tours. Prior to venturing out as a solo acoustic singer/songwriter, Dannie spent two years as the lead singer in The Dannie Marie Band, playing gigs around her hometown of San Diego. The band released a 3-song EP in 2010; got placement in a feature film for one of their original songs; and received recognition for their Flavor of the Week music video at film festivals (including a Golden Reel Award for Best Music Video at the Nevada Film Festival). As she works to make her mark as a singer, songwriter, and actress, her underlying goal is to honor God and be a good role model for her generation.
