Fusing spontaneity and passion with the warmth of 70's California rock, 'Castle Oaks Sessions' is a modern snapshot of personal, idiosyncratic storytelling. Recorded at Castle Oaks Studios in Calabasas, California in late 2009, this is Flamingo Fobia’s first studio project in 7 years. After the departure of Ryan Gonzales, in 2003, front man, Addison Glic continued writing and recording as the only member of Flamingo Fobia. For years, he played the guitar, piano, and keyboard parts himself; recording 'Zesty, Lo-Fi Classics', 'San Jose Sessions', and others on his 4 track and laptop. In early December of 2009, Glic teamed up with David Tobocman (piano/wurley/clav), Sean Reinert of Cynic (drums), R. Walt Vincent (guitar/bass), and Matt Brownlie (guitar/bass) for a three-day junket in the aforementioned studio. What ensued was musical mad science and the result was 'Castle Oaks Sessions'. 'Castle Oaks Sessions' was produced, engineered, and mixed by John Hiler; mastered by Greg Calbi.
