简介
KiRiKo first began playing the erhu when she was just 6 years old, and now in her teens, she is receiving acclaim within Japan and abroad for her talents as a young erhu player. For KiRiKo's first album she's going back to the music she's known for as long as she's played her instrument, and working on an album of Studio Ghibli music. The music of Studio Ghibli is loved by people of all ages, and along with ten erhu covers, this album also includes three new bonus tracks. True to the words "The erhu sings," KiRiKo's performance, with its outstanding technique and purity, melds beautifully with the worldview of Ghibli music. The master synthesizer Taku Takizawa was appointed to help mix the tracks, and the recording took place under the eye of Professor Yamazaki of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Waseda University, at Karuizawa Atrium (a facility of Waseda University), one of the finest recording studios in the country. Erhu is regarded as "the instrument closest to the human voice," and the instrument's timbre, brilliance, and individual breaths have all been carefully recorded. Filled with vivid delights, this piece can be enjoyed by both adults and children. The ancient refinement of the erhu. Nostalgic memories of Ghibli shared by all. Sophisticated recording technology. The emotionally stirring compositions. This CD contains a deeper story, something which can't be easily explained with words like "instrumental" or "easy listening." Please experience for yourself the wonder of KiRiKo, a performer who has managed to pull forth the limitless possibilities of the erhu.
