Hi I'm Case is a ghost haunting the ruins of the rustbelt, journaling the climb through a surreal adulthood after an upbringing of false hopes, and breaking down the attempt at an identity that didn't fit. Case is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and producer, working out of a bedroom closet and a supply closet with a laptop and whatever instrument floats their way. Self i Can't Keep is a personal story of a queer artist's self development. The album plays with familiar, nostalgic instruments, weaving lyrical and musical motifs across a widely varied pop soundcape. 80s pianos and 90s guitars get a shimmer of contemporary production. SiCK's primary themes are gender dysphoria, the many unspoken problems it causes the longer it goes unconfronted, insecurities and mindsets that need to be abandoned to move on, and the struggle to make sense of it all.
