[liner notes from actual CD] I’m not one for liner notes, but I feel like this album needs at least a little explaining. I love it how music is so periodic in a person’s life. I could never write this music again, as it simply reflects a short period of my life - with most of the songs being penned between late 2003 and 2006. From composition to actual recording was a slow process involving several patient years until the ideal partner materialized in the form of producer Erik Herbst. The production of this album was then a huge labor of love for both myself and Erik, and together we really tried to capture the spirit of the music as best we could. Therefore I truly hope this music finds you during a period of your life when you need it most, and where it’s genuine meaning resides.
