The Thurston Lava Tube are a psychedlic, experimental surf instrumental band from Leicester, England. They have recorded four albums since 2001. Prior to this founder member Alan Jenkins recorded three albums as "Alan Jenkins and The Thurston Lava Tube" during which the proper 2001 band came together.

The Free Surf Music #3 CD inlcudes three other albums in mp3 format: 1) A compilation of unreleased tracks by Cordelia Records recording artists such as The Deep Freeze Mice, The Chrysanthemums, The Creams and Ruth's Refrigerator. 2) A live album by The Creams and 3) A live album by Ruth's Refrierator.
