They sound like veterans and should be on international tours supporting Cannibal Corpse, Aborted and Krisiun as much as possible. The album flows very well and at a fast pace. The riffs are devastating and full of gnarly groove. The solos performed have an excellent tone and cut easily, like an axe to your face at full swing. The precision and professionalism here is exquisite. The music is as gruesome as the album art. Vocals are low and full of hate. The riffs range from groove slam to traditional slaughter death metal. The drumming ties it all together perfectly especially when it’s more than just relentless blasting. Some careful patterns and double bass work here makes this album much more than just a generic death album. Body Harvest come together and put on one hell of a show, ‘Futile Creation’ is a sample of what this band is about and it definitely gets their point across. I enjoy everything I hear in every song that is played. I headbang to the riffs, my feet bounce back and forth with the bass drums, and my adrenaline skyrockets during each and every song. I’d be careful listening to this album while driving. I’m trying to pick apart this album and find any sort of flaw but I am having a hard time doing so. There is not much of a vocal range during ‘Futile Creation’, yet there are some moments another scream will come in and mix it up. Also, the main low vocals fit in perfectly with the music and sound just plain mean. So I have no real complaints about the vocals. Musically, this band is just quality on every single track. Body Harvest’s new album, Futile Creation, drops on April 20th 2014 through Grindhouse Music and I highly recommend this album for you brutal seeking knuckleheads out there. 10 solid tracks of pure hate, violence and blood.
