This is the second CD from Charlie Morgan, it's a slight departure from his first, "Songs My Uncle Taught Me". The songs on "The Best Kind of Love" were well thought out and have a nice rythym, and feel to them. He opens with "Brazil", a very upbeat travel song, and ends the CD with two live recordings. "My Funny Valentine, " recorded live at BB King's in Nashville, featuring Chris Botti, it is hands down, the best version of that song I have ever heard...his vocals, phrasing, and timing are near perfect. "Mack the Knife", is kick a**, with a great band backing him up...it starts slow and ends with a great finish. Don't miss his version of Frankie Valley's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You ". It really shows his range as a vocalist. "The Best Kind of Love" is a must buy if you love vocal Jazz andStandards.
